Who
ReImagine ROC Housing engages community, business, non-profit, and elected leaders to promote creative solutions to the critical housing shortage in the Rochester region to allow all residents choice in housing so they can choose what meet their needs.
Why
Housing prices continue to rise. Inventory is at an all-time low and the pace of new construction is lagging behind demand. We want to ensure there is a home at a price point that makes sense for everyone. Whether that is a single-family home for purchase or an apartment for rent and everything in-between and we want to find the space for options that haven't been considered yet.
What
A new perspective on what is possible for housing. Bringing together all the people in the housing process to brainstorm, test and create new housing solutions. We are challenging the status quo and working directly with community and government to remove the obstacles to many solutions.
Where
The housing crisis is a critical issue in the Rochester region. It has significant impacts in the City of Rochester, the suburbs of Monroe County, and the rural areas of the Wayne, Ontario, Livingston, and Orleans Counties. Each will require different solutions, which is why we are building a broad coalition of community partners to solve this crisis. Whether you are looking to rent or own; move in, move up, or downsize, you should have choices in housing. Larger or smaller; city, suburban, or rural; across price ranges or amenities… we are working to provide the type of housing your community needs.
